Downtown is easy to reach from almost anywhere in the county: the Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy, East Village, Hillcrest, North Park, Point Loma, Coronado, Mission Valley and Chula Vista are all a short drive away. San Diego International Airport is about ten minutes from the chapel, and the Santa Fe Depot (Amtrak, COASTER and the Trolley) is just a few blocks away, so visiting couples and out-of-town family can get here without a car. Marry over a weekday lunch, then head to the waterfront or the Gaslamp for photos and a celebration dinner.

Where is the San Diego chapel?
Our downtown chapel is in Emerald Plaza at 402 W Broadway, Suite 400, Unit C, San Diego, CA 92101. Call or text (619) 393-1870 if you need help finding us.
How many guests can come?
The downtown chapel hosts up to 15 guests. Our La Jolla office is a smaller space for the couple plus 2 guests, so choose downtown if family and friends are joining you.
We’re active-duty military. Can we marry before a deployment?
Yes — that’s one of the most common reasons couples book with us in San Diego. Bring valid photo ID (a military ID works), ask about our military pricing, and we can often fit you in the same day.
Can we take photos on the waterfront afterwards?
Absolutely. Seaport Village, the Embarcadero and the Gaslamp Quarter are all a few minutes from the chapel, which makes them easy spots for photos right after your ceremony.
Can we get married on the beach instead?
Yes. Our mobile officiants can meet you at a beach, park or venue anywhere in San Diego County. Some beaches and parks have their own permit rules, so check with the venue; a travel fee may apply.
Do you serve North County?
Yes. North County couples often prefer our Oceanside location, and our mobile team covers the whole county.
Can we come straight from the airport?
Yes. The chapel is about ten minutes from San Diego International Airport. With valid photo IDs you can land and marry the same day — California has no residency requirement and no waiting period.
How long does the appointment take?
About 45 minutes for most couples, including the license, the ceremony and signing.

Do we really get married the same day?
Yes! We specialize in organizing same-day marriages. Contact us as early as possible in the day to ensure we have enough time to prepare your paperwork and ceremony.
Do we have to be California residents?
Absolutely! Residency in the California is not required by either party to get Married in California. Just make sure both parties have a valid (Non-Expired) form of government issued ID.
Do we need witnesses?
If you are obtaining the marriage license through us, then you will receive a confidential marriage license which we will notarize and does not require any witnesses. If you obtain a PUBLIC marriage license from the county then yes, California law requires one witness at your marriage ceremony. If you cannot provide a witness, let us know in advance, and we can discuss options to accommodate your needs.
When do we get the official certificate?
After the ceremony, we’ll file your marriage license with the county clerk’s office. Your official California marriage certificate will then be available for you to order from the county, usually within a few weeks.
Where is your San Diego location?
We have two San Diego locations: Downtown at Emerald Plaza, 402 W Broadway Suite 400 Unit C, San Diego, CA 92101 (619) 393-1870, and La Jolla at 888 Prospect Street Suite 200, La Jolla, CA 92037 (619) 393-1833. North County couples can also use our Oceanside location.
What do we need to bring to get married in San Diego?
Both partners need a valid government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport), must be at least 18 years old, and currently unmarried. If either of you was previously married, bring proof of divorce, annulment, or the death certificate of your former spouse — the divorce must be finalized before your new marriage.
Can you come to us instead of visiting the office?
Yes. Our mobile service can come to your home, hotel, park, beach, or another location you choose. Mobile and off-site appointments may include an additional travel fee depending on location, distance, timing, and service requirements — every fee is explained before you book.
Do you offer evening or weekend appointments in San Diego?
Yes. We’re open every day of the year, 6 AM – 11:30 PM, by appointment — including weekends, evenings and holidays — and same-day appointments are welcome. Pricing reflects standard appointment times; appointments outside these hours may be subject to additional after-hours fees.
How much does a same-day marriage in San Diego cost?

San Diego 1 Hour Marriage in La Jolla is an office space with a 2-guest limit, so choose the Downtown chapel if you’d like family and friends to join you. Larger parties may require additional arrangements and may be subject to additional guest fees, and mobile ceremonies have no guest limit.
