Do you have offices outside San Francisco?
Our Northern California chapel is in San Francisco’s Civic Center (1390 Market St #200 Unit B). For everywhere else — Oakland and the East Bay, San Jose and the Peninsula, Marin, Napa, Sonoma, even Sacramento — we come to you with a mobile appointment. Travel fees depend on distance and timing and are confirmed with you before you book.
Can we get married the same day if we live in the East Bay or South Bay?
Yes. Book online for any day — we’re open 8 AM – 2 AM, 7 days a week, by appointment, and same-day bookings are welcome. Your license is issued at the appointment, with no waiting period and no residency requirement, and we file everything with the county for you.
Is a license issued in San Francisco valid in another county?
Yes. A California confidential marriage license issued at our office can be used for a ceremony anywhere in California, and we file it with the county once it is signed.
How many guests can we bring?
The San Francisco chapel hosts up to 12 guests; larger parties may require additional arrangements and may be subject to additional guest fees. Mobile ceremonies have no guest limit.
Do we need witnesses?
No. We issue confidential marriage licenses, which require no witnesses — just the two of you with valid photo ID.
Can you marry us at a Napa or Sonoma vineyard, on the beach, or in Golden Gate Park?
Yes — that’s what our mobile packages are for. The officiant brings the license and every form, performs the ceremony where you are, and files with the county afterwards. Tell us the venue when you book so we can confirm travel and timing.
What do we need to bring?
A valid government-issued photo ID for each partner, and proof that any previous marriage ended (final divorce decree, annulment or death certificate). See the full what-to-bring checklist.
